William Shakespeare Antique Fishing Lure Co. 1897-Current

The William Shakespeare Tackle Company Kalamazoo, Michigan made some great lures over the years; from the Revolution to the Evolution and an extensive line up of Underwater Minnows from the Musky Minnows down to the Pan Fish Size. It certainly was one of the great old and antique lure makers of its time and created a variety of now antique lures for more than a half a century.

Below you will find representative examples of some of these great fishing lures. While Shakespeare will probably be most notable with fisherman today because of the great reels that they made; some of the Antique lures they fashioned would have a great influence on the evolution of the fishing lure market.

I've noted in some of the descriptions below the Photos of the antique Shakespeare lures the manufacture dates, colors as well as some of the model numbers.
